Our Paul E. Bradbury Award for Corporate Achievement, in memory of our company’s founder, is presented annually to a KSS employee who demonstrates outstanding dedication, commitment, loyalty, and perseverance on behalf of the company.

2020’s awardee is Mr. Ken Welsh. Welsh has served as General Manager of the Pittsburgh operations since joining KSS in January 2013. Since that time, his responsibilities have included the Monongahela and St Mary’s operations, and more recently Carnegie, PA.

Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology and an MBA from University of Pittsburgh. Over Ken’s career at KSS, we have recognized that he exemplifies the characteristics of a Paul E. Bradbury award winner. Welsh has had a positive impact on the Pittsburgh operations. He has met the many challenges head-on during his tenure here, faced and solved problems, and has turned the operations under his responsibility into a well-functioning team.

Given that Ken has recently decided to move into retirement, we are confident that the Pittsburgh operations will continue to benefit for many years to come, from what he has helped build.
