ASHSCAN COAL ASH ANALYZER

The Ashscan series of online nuclear analyzers will provide accurate ash measurement of bulk coal in real-time.

The analysis technique uses low energy gamma radiation directed through the material on a moving conveyor. Absorption of the low energy gamma rays will occur due to the ash content and bed depth of the coal on the conveyor.  A second, high energy nuclear source, is used to normalize the ash results for bed depth variations. The two gamma ray signals are combined to give the ash content in the coal normalized for bed depth variation.

The Ashscan series analyzers are built as rigid, pre-aligned C-frames with communications to plant systems via standard industry protocols.
